This week we did some abstract art paintings with cotton balls and clothespins. We also made some cool glasses to chase the blues away.
Next week we will start our Christmas theme. We will be setting up a Santa’s workshop for the kids to make and wrap toys, and do some Christmas baking. If you have some extra rolls of tape or wrapping paper that we can use for our wrapping center I would really appreciate it. We will also read a story about how Pete the Cat saves Christmas when Santa gets sick. Here is a link to the song, and a link to the full story. We will make a Santa Pete the Cat, and start making some Christmas crafts to help you decorate your homes and get into the Christmas spirit.
There are calendars on the sign in table that I would encourage you to take if you don’t already have one. Feel free to grab one for your friends as well. The calendars have contact information for Support Services available in Ponoka, as well as Recreation activities offered. There is also a child development chart with milestones to look for in your children, as well as some great quotes, pictures, and ideas for activities to do with your children. Please help yourself.
Our Christmas party this year will be on December 18th, 19th and 20th. We will be having a pajama party for this years Christmas party. I will send home a reminder for parents who are bringing snacks for the Christmas party so you can start planning.
